Mr. Alex served in Bank of Kigali PLC since 2010 in various Senior Management Positions until mid-2016 when he became the Managing Director of BK INSURANCE Co. Ltd. Prior to joining Bank of Kigali PLC, Alex was the Head of Quality Assurance, a member of the reform team in charge of modernizing the Social Security industry and a State Attorney in the National Social Security Fund. He was a member of the Kigali Bar Association and the East African Law Society.

Alex holds a Bachelor’s of Laws (LLB) from the National University of Rwanda (NUR), a Master’s of Laws (LLM) majoring in International Commercial Law from The Robert Gordon University - United Kingdom and completed an MBA at Mount Kenya University. He holds a Certificate of Arbitration from the London Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIARB).

Mrs Alice RWAGASANA has been the Chief Commercial Officer since 2022. Alice has a wealth experience in Finance Sector in where she has accumulated 17 years. Prior to her current position in BKGI, she was a team leader and Bancassurance Senior Sales Manager in the same institution.

Before joining BK General Insurance, Alice worked for Prime insurance for 2 years and she worked for Sonarwa for 10 years in different key departments.

Alice holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law at Independent Institute of Lay Adventist of Kigali and she is pursuing a Masters in MBA-Marketing from Jomo Kenyatta University. She has undergone different leadership and professional courses in insurance.
