  • Requests for insurance cover can be submitted to all BK branch offices. You can use the nearest BK branch office to submit your cover request.
  • Premiums can be deposited at BKGI account 0069248232 in the Bank of Kigali. BKGI premium rates are affordable. Contact the nearest BK branch office or BKGI Headquarters for further clarifications.
  • On line services are being developed to facilitate our clients to request for insurance covers on line.
  • Cover request with required information is processed within 2 working days.
Processing the cover for Money insurance requires the following information: Maximum amounts to be kept and transported (per trip for money in transit), Number of trips in a year (money in transit), Type of security and finaly, Proposal form (fidelity guarantee)
Under Money Insurance, the following are covered
  • Money in transit: covers the policyholder against the physical loss/damage to money while moving it to and from your premises.
  • Money in Safe: provides indemnity in case the policyholder’s cash is damaged or lost while secured in a safe on their premises.
  • Fidelity guarantee: Covers the loss of money or property sustained as a direct result of acts of fraud, theft or dishonesty by an employee in the course of employment.

Claim processing process

Claims can be lodged in all BK branches. You can use the nearest BK branch office to lodge your claim. A claim with all required documentation is settled within 3 working days after the date of receipt of the claim. Complicated cases may take a maximum of seven days. Online services are being developed to facilitate our clients to make claim declarations on line

Information Required

For a claim to be processed, the following information is required: Notification letter, insurance policy, police report, and total value of incurred loss
